Chamber helps Animal Hospital with Grand Opening

Guntersville, Ala. — The Lake Guntersville Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting on Thursday, Sept. 5 celebrating the newest addition to the Guntersville Animal Hospital and Surgery Center at 1609 Henry St.

“The Guntersville Animal Hospital is excited to reveal to everyone our brand new doggy daycare and luxury boarding facility,” said Dr. Chuck Young, owner of Guntersville Animal Hospital.  “This has been a long time coming.”

The grand opening for the new facility was Monday, Sept. 9. The luxury pet resort is now accepting bookings for both cats and dogs. Depending on the pet’s size, they will be placed with Tiny Tots, Jolly Green Giants or Prickly Pears.

“I had an amazing experience touring this incredible facility,” said Kimberly McDade, the new administrative assistant at the Lake Guntersville Chamber of Commerce. “I know my pets would be absolutely spoiled living in such luxury.”

Pets that are boarded or attending the daycare have access to play in the massive indoor and outdoor fenced-in playrooms. After playtime is over, they can stay in seven new luxury suites or 10 mini suites for a restful sleep. The luxury suites feature 30-inch televisions, a window, raised bedding area, elegant tile flooring and walls, heating and cooling and a door that can be closed for privacy or open for playtime. Suites have their own theme, such as the University of Alabama, Auburn University, Key West, New Orleans and New York City.
